Update: Our Relocation to Grande Prairie
Update on Rose Gold’s relocation to Grande Prairie, Fall 2026.
Well friends, we’ve made some big decisions, big things are in the works, and we’re feeling all the same nerves and excitement we felt in 2017 when we first opened our doors in Airdrie. It’s been one heck of a ride since.
Rose Gold 2.0 is becoming a reality, and we’re forever grateful that we get to continue on, thanks in part to the overwhelming generosity our friends and community have shown us in the midst of an unfair and horrific event. Y’all really pulled through. So come this fall, Rose Gold will be relocating and opening new doors in Grande Prairie.
We know this news comes with sadness. We will miss Southern Alberta with all our hearts, but the reality is commercial space rentals in Airdrie and Calgary are more than we can take on right now. On the bright side, it’s a real full circle moment. Courtney became the first and only APP member in Grande Prairie a little over 15 years ago, and soon she’ll be the only member there once again.
Some new faces will be introduced in due time, but as for the rest of the team: Jamie will visit as a regular guest piercer in the coming months, and Krystine will be taking some time away from the industry.
Thank you again, Airdrie, for an amazing decade.❤️
Follow along here for our opening date and everything to come. Grande Prairie, we’re so looking forward to getting reacquainted.
Update: Studio Closure
An update on Rose Gold’s closure due to fire.
On June 29, a fire in a neighbouring unit spread smoke and water damage through our studio. Everyone is safe, and for that we're grateful above all else.
Our space has sustained significant damage, and we've since packed up what we could salvage.. We are temporarily closed, and while we don't have a timeline for reopening, we'll share updates here and on our social channels as we know more.
If you have an appointment or booking inquiry, please reach out to info@rosegoldbodypiercing.com and we'll be in touch. All existing appointments are on hold for now, and we'll contact affected clients directly. Thank you for your patience while we sort through everything.
Over the years, these walls held so much more than appointments. First piercings and milestone celebrations. Confidence gained and fears conquered. Laughter, friendships, and moments that mattered. Rose Gold was never just a studio. It was a safe place, a gathering place, a community.
To everyone who has donated, shared our story, dropped off supplies, or simply checked in: thank you. Your kindness has carried us through some very heavy days. To every client who has trusted us with your body, your stories, and your celebrations: you built this community alongside us.
The fire damaged our space, but it did not touch the heart of Rose Gold. That lives in our team, our clients, and our community.
This chapter is painful, but it is not the end of our story.
Want to support our recovery? Friends of the studio have organized a GoFundMe to help us rebuild. Support us here.
With love and gratitude,
Courtney, Jamie, Krystine, and the entire Rose Gold family
